The Role

We are seeking a dynamic sales individual to join our team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and winning new clients across various sectors. This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for sales, a strategic mindset, and the ability to forge strong relationships with prospective clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales and a deep understanding of multiple industry sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients through research, networking, and targeted outreach to secure new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas within different sectors.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed new client acquisition targets.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to the specific needs of potential clients.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with prospective clients to secure favourable terms and close deals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, and operations) to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and results to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitive intelligence to refine and enhance business development strategies.

Required Skills

  • Proven work experience of at least 3 years in business development, sales or a related role with a focus on client acquisition.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience with CRM software and account management systems.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel); experience with sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
